Open Question: indicator light is a yellow triangle with an arrow going counter clock wise on my 740 il, BMW?

the battery light came on, then the yellow triangle ....then ABS....before the yellow light, it smelled like something was burning...but it wasn't. The radiator was filled, and the battery was filled ( right after the battery light came on)...now what does it need? It didn't start after adding oil...there was just a "click"...after a few hours it started up...but the interior and head lights started to dim, and the car sounds like its loosing power.
